Huipil Bag - Medium Square Chichicastenango Black with Roses 2 ***SOLD***

Made from a Mayan shirt called a huipil. This bag is from the town of Chichicastenango and has a large pocket on the front framed by the neck of the huipil which has the traditional sunburst pattern. Legend says that when a woman dresses in the morning and puts her head through the sunburst neckline, it signifies that she is the center of her own universe. Size 11 1/2 x 10 3/4" not including the fringe.
