This is a huipil bag from the Mayan village of Joyabaj in Guatemala. The back of the bag is handwoven in a pastel primitive ikat design from part of a corte or skirt. There's a separate pocket in the front, framed by what would have been the collar of the huipil. Good vintage condition. Size 11" x 11 1/2 "
